Hawaii Mission Trip Mar 27th - Apr 2nd, 2019

Build and Restore International (BRI) invites you to join us for our Hawaii mission trip! Together we are going to Build and Restore Camp Waianae located on the beautiful island of O'ahu, Hawaii. Our mission will be very exciting and life changing. We will be restoring existing building facilities. We will learn together how to paint, repair, and restore. We will have an opportunity for community outreach efforts in sharing the Gospel. We look forward to serving together in Hawaii. PROJECT IS FULL

WHEN:  March 27th – April 2nd, 2019

WHERE:  O'ahu, Hawaii

COST:  $300 per person + Flights (payment needs to be made in full by March 8th, 2019)

What’s Included:
Ground transportation from the Honolulu airport to Camp Waianae
Local beach excursion
One Build and Restore T-shirt
Amazing Disciples Study Book
Local housing will be provided at the camp in the cabins
Three vegetarian meals(if you have food allergies or specific dietary needs, please let us know) 
Local transportation on site and excursion 
What’s NOT Included:
Flights
Any personal expenses, snacks or souvenirs
Hotel, food, and transportation before or after the mission trip
SCOPE:
1.  Improve the camp facilities by painting the exterior of the camp and other as needed tasks (time permiting)
2.  Volunteers will share testimonies at the local church on Sabbath
TRAVEL:
Arrival:  Please plan to arrive on Wed, March 27th before 6pm
Departure:  Please plan to depart on Tuesday, April 2nd early morning 
LODGING:
We will be staying in cabins on the camp property. Each cabin has 4 beds. No linens are provided. Please bring your own
WEATHER:
The weather will be in the mid 80's in the day and mid to high 60's at night
EXCURSION:
We are going to visit a local beach in the area a few miles from the camp. 

Mission Trip Packing List


Items to Bring
Bible(Paper Copy) and other devotional/reading materials
• Lightweight back pack
• Personal snacks – e.g., energy/granola bars, nuts, or dried fruit
• Ear Plugs (in case the person next to you snores), sleep mask
• Flip-flops
• Passport
• Flashlight
Spending money for personal use
• Personal toiletries (soap, toothpaste, deodorant, mirror, razor, etc.)
• Charcoal and or Pepto-Bismol 
• Wet wipes or hand sanitizer  
Sunblock
Work Clothes and Gear
• Work pants (lightweight cotton preferred, cargo)
• Good working shoes (work boots or hard-soled shoes are safest)
• Socks – (1 pair for each day)
• T-shirts; short or long-sleeved cotton shirts
• Water bottle(s) (Wide mouth, refillable)
Work gloves (2 pair recommended)
Off-site Clothes
• Casual shirt, pants, and blouse
• Dress shirt, slacks, and shoes (men) for church*
• Dresses, skirts/blouses, and shoes (women) for church*
• Swimming suit (modest, one piece), beach towel
• Socks, Underclothes (microfiber quick dry—optional)
Hat (to protect from sun)
• Sunglasses
Linens 
Sheets and blanket or a light sleeping bag
