Guaymas, Mexico Mission Trip Feb 10-18, 2019

Build and Restore International (BRI) invites you to join us for our Guaymas, Mexico mission trip! Together with Help Mexico Ministries we are going to restore Colegio Empalme in Guaymas, Mexico. Our mission will be life changing. Restoration of the existing school building facilities. Community outreach effort. Sharing the Gospel through public evangelism. Health seminars for the local community. We look forward to serving together in Guaymas, Mexico. Prayerfully consider joining us on this exciting mission journey to Mexico!

WHEN:  Feb 10th – 18th, 2019

WHERE:  Guaymas, Mexico

COST:  $300 per person + Flights (payment needs to be made in full by January 30th, 2019)

What’s Included:
Ground transportation from Sacramento, CA
Local half day excursion
One Build and Restore T-shirt
Amazing Disciples Study Book (if you have one from a previous trip, please bring it with you)
Local housing during the project
Three vegetarian meals (if you have food allergies or specific dietary needs, please let us know)
Transportation on site
What’s NOT Included:
Any personal expenses, snacks or souvenirs
Hotel, food, and transportation before or after the mission trip
1.  Improve the school facilities by painting the interior and exterior of the school
2.  Volunteers will share Sermons and Health seminars at the local church
Arrival:  Please plan to arrive in Mexico on Monday, Feb. 11th before 6pm
Departure:  Please plan to depart on Sunday, Feb. 17th morning
We will be staying in a house near the school. Each room with have 2 beds. No linens are provided. Please bring your own.
The weather in Mexico will be in the low to mid 70's in the day and low to mid 50's at night
We are going to visit San Carlos beach in the area. Also Tetakawi Mountain hike which is near the beach.

Mission Trip Packing List

Items to Bring
Bible(Paper Copy) and other devotional/reading materials
• Lightweight back pack
• Personal snacks – e.g., energy/granola bars, nuts, or dried fruit
• Ear Plugs (in case the person next to you snores), sleep mask
• Flip-flops
• Flashlight
• Sunblock
Spending money for personal use (we will exchange dollars in Mexico for pesos) 
• Personal toiletries (soap, toothpaste, deodorant, mirror, razor, etc.)
• Charcoal and or Pepto-Bismol 
• Wet wipes and or toilet paper 
Work Clothes and Gear
• Work pants (lightweight cotton preferred, cargo)
• Good working shoes (work boots or hard-soled shoes are safest)
• Socks – (1 pair for each day)
• T-shirts; short or long-sleeved cotton shirts
• Water bottle(s) (Wide mouth, refillable)
Work gloves (2 pair recommended)
Off-site Clothes
• Casual shirts, pants, and blouses
• Dress shirts, slacks, and shoes (men) for church*
• Dresses, skirts/blouses, and shoes (women) for church*
• Swimming suit (modest, one piece), beach towel
• Socks, Underclothes (microfiber quick dry—optional)
• Hat (to protect from sun)
• Sunglasses
• Sheets and blanket or a light sleeping bag
• Pillow and pillow case
• Towel and wash cloth

1) Mon-Fri Feb 11-15 one hour at the school addressing students in the classroom.
2) Feb 12th and 16th 3pm travel 1 hour to "church in the Valley" arriving back home 10pm. The volunteer team will do two sermons.  (The Valley sermons will be 40 mins long.)
3) Feb 16 complete team at the school church 9:30 song service (a) children's program (b) Sabbath school (c) potluck and (d) 2pm 1 hour church meeting
